Get in touch and let us know what we can do for you.
W. Lowrie Tucker (Lowrie)
President & Sales Manager
I started in this industry as a forestry technician for the USDA Forest Service. I then worked for Virginia’s Conservation Districts and County Governments, specifically in Erosion and Sediment Control. In September 2010, I joined the Conservation Services team. I spend most of my day consulting with customers, discussing and fulfilling their needs. I graduated from Emory and Henry with a B.S. in Environmental Studies and received a M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Shenandoah University. I live in Waynesboro with my wife Jillian, my son Walter and my daughter Claire. When I am not at work, I spend time with my family, visiting friends and traveling to other parts of the country on trips that generally include a visit to the national parks. Give me a call; I would love to talk about how Conservation Services can help you.
Gavin Martin
Vice President
I started working with Conservation Services Inc, in February of 2020. During my time here, I have planted trees from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast as well as from southern Texas to northern New York. As a project coordinator, I am fortunate to work with a variety of landowners and organizations who are all working together to provide environmental reclamation efforts in a vast variety of locations across the US. I graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S in Wildlife Conservation in the fall of 2019 and have carried through my knowledge of wildlife sciences and best management practices to help provide landowners and organizations with technical assistance for their projects. I am also an avid birder, hunter, angler, outdoorsman, and wildlife conservationist.
Rodney Nice
Project Manager
I started working at Conservation Services, Inc. in 2012. I have held the role as Vice President and I supervise all the contracting work at Conservation Services, Inc. including: Tree Planting, Forestry Consulting, and Vegetation Management. I have a great team of project managers that do outstanding work on these projects! I studied forestry at THE University of Virginia (That would be Virginia Tech, of course) and graduated in 2003. I transitioned into ownership of Conservation Services, Inc. in 2015 and have since focused on providing outstanding service and a second-to-none experience for our clients. I am a Society of American Foresters Certified Forester. My wife and I live in Stuarts Draft, VA with our 6 children: Levi, Isaac, Moriah, Judah, Silas, and Canaan. Prior to my position here, my family and I spent five years in ministry, two of those as missionaries in rural Jamaica.
Daniel Grubb
Project Coordinator
I started working at Conservation Services, Inc. in February 2012. During my time here, I have held many job titles including Warehouse Associate, Warehouse Supervisor, and my current position of Project Coordinator. It is very gratifying for me to do my part to get tree planting projects in the ground. During my tenure at Conservation Services I have had the privilege to see many different aspects of what it takes to get a project completed. I try to put all this experience and knowledge into all the projects that I work on.
James Nichols
Office Manager
My time with Conservation Services started in January of 2024. Having come from a background in Retail and Property Management, environmental services is entirely new to me. It has been quite a change but a welcome one to be sure. In 2022 I earned my Associates Degree in Business Management. I’m currently working on a Bachelors in Finance through Liberty University. It has been an incredible experience learning the business and contributing to this amazing thing we do. Being able to provide excellent service to our customers, vendors, and team brings a lot of fulfilment to me. It’s not often you get to work with a great group of people who love what they do.
Christopher Dodson
Project Coordinator
I began my career at Conservation Services, Inc. in February of 2023. I started out as a Conservation Technician and became a sponge for information, soaking up as much as possible from my superiors which inevitably led me to my current role in the company. I graduated from James Madison University in the fall of 2022 with a B.S in Geographic Science, which provided me with a solid foundation to start my career in the conservation industry. Since becoming a project coordinator, I have worked with a plethora of landowners and organizations on many different projects spanning from creek relief programs to endangered species habitat restoration. I feel very fortunate to have a career that contributes to a better future of our environment. If I am not working, you can usually find me hunting, fishing, or floating down the Shenandoah River.
Matthew Willis
Warehouse Superintendent
With a resume as eclectic as I am, I’m a relative newcomer to the field of environmental management. I have experience as a Master candlemaker, enjoyed restaurant ownership, spent years in corporate management and am currently a self defense instructor. Having raised four children I’m board certified in crisis management. After twenty years studying Martial Arts, I’m quite comfortable with stress and problem solving. I am fortunate enough to enjoy who I am, where I am and what I do.
